T.K. Nelson, local artist, will be opening the T.K. Nelson Fine Art Gallery
6331 North Keystone, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220 on Nov. 6th 2009.
The T.K. Nelson Fine Art Gallery is unique to Indianapolis. The gallery has a life-size construction of a Banyan Tree, which creates the sensation of being outdoors as people wander through the gallery observing the exhibits.
The Banyan Tree has a diverse mission. The gallery offers an opportunity for young and old participants to appreciate the fine arts. A variety of artists work will be exhibited showcasing art forms from painting to photography to sculpture.
The word banyan means Market or Merchant and in many cultures is a symbol of enlightenment and spirituality. The tree is a symbol of Indianapolis' expanding art community.
One of T.K.'s goals for Gallery is to offer a wide range of exhibits and experiences for contemporary art; showcasing authentic and genuine artists, painters, sculptors, and photographers.
